Anggie Obin, born in Panama, is a flautist and one of the most outstanding emerging figures. She began her training in her native country and obtained a scholarship to complete her studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. She has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Rubén Blades and fellow Panamanian Danilo Pérez, and she has collaborated with some of the leading figures in modern music such as George Garzone, Kirk Lightsey, Santi Debriano, Peter Erskine and Bill McHenry, among others.

Anggie Obin Quintet is a pioneering Latin jazz project, with a full set of original compositions and some arrangements from the American songbook. This unique band brings together musicians with different backgrounds but with a distinctive voice. Together they create a wonderful experience enlivened by creativity and mutual interaction with a shared passion that is felt vividly in their live performances.
