MeeTheNet is a new 2025 proposal that provides a meeting space for the main European professional networks. With an entertaining format, it includes short presentations from each professional network to spark conversations, address new challenges and foster collaborations.
MeeTheNet is an activity open to the professional public. This first edition brings together representatives from the Europe Jazz Network (EU), Knutpunkt (Sweden) and Plataforma Jazz España (Spain).

EUROPE JAZZ NETWORK
Europe Jazz Network (EJN) is a non-profit, pan-European association of producers, presenters and support organisations specialising in creative music, contemporary jazz and improvised music created from a distinctly European perspective. The membership in June 2024 includes 202 organisations (festivals, clubs and venues, national/regional support organisations, honorary members) in 37 countries.
The EJN exists to support the identity and diversity of jazz in Europe and to raise awareness of this vital area of music as a cultural and educational force. EJN’s mission is to encourage, promote and support the development of the creative music sector in Europe and to create opportunities for artists, organisers and audiences from different countries to meet and communicate.

KNUTPUNKT
Knutpunkt is a network of 32 organisers and venues that are committed to the cultural scene in southern Sweden. Their focus is on jazz and improvised music, with an open vision for other genres. Their collective efforts over more than seven years have had a remarkable impact and result on the scene.
With a clear commitment to increasing accessibility to the public, they specialise in programming concerts that take place within the network’s programmes. They have a large number of international contacts to increase internationalisation and to contribute to the reputation of the music sector. They promote artistic quality and renewal, with a focus on gender equality and diversity. They tour sustainably and contribute to active climate protection in their concerts.

PLATAFORMA JAZZ ESPAÑA
Plataforma Jazz España is a non-profit association that brings together festivals, programmers and jazz fairs from all over Spain. Its aim is to consolidate an active network of festivals at national level. This network provides representation to other national cultural actors, as well as a regular activity aimed at strengthening the sector from different fields of action.
There are currently more than 150 jazz festivals of different types and sizes in Spain. This platform is a useful union structure, now more necessary than ever, which represents their interests and promotes networking and exchange, both between national festivals and with other international festivals.
