With more than 27 years of experience, John Gilbreath is currently the executive director of the Earshot Jazz since 1991, and since then he has produced more than 3,000 concerts with this jazz non-profit organization from Seattle, achieving outstanding international recognition and grants by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.

 

In addition to setting up the Eartshot Jazz Festival in Seattle, which it celebrated the 30th edition the past 2018, Gilbreath has also helped to launch new non-profit organizations in this region and has been part of initiatives such as the Bellevue Jazz Festival, Anacortes Jazz Festival and Experience Music Project, among others. In addition, John Gilbreath is the presenter of the weekly radio programs Jazz Teather (KEXP FM) and The Caravan (KBCS FM).
