DISCOVER THE 2021 SHOWCASES!

 

The 12 groups that will perform in the third edition of JAZZ I AM in 2021 have been announced.

The jury, made up of Benjamin Tanguy (Artistic Director of Jazz à Vienne), Kenneth Kileen (CEO and Artistic Director of IMC), Lizon Lavaud (Project Manager at Le Bureau Export), Murat Sezgi (Programming and Contracting Director at X Jazz), Noemí Osorio (Director of the Flamengi Festival) and Pilar Subirà (Presenter of the radio programs “Cafè Jazz” and “Via Jazz”), have chosen these 6 projects from a total of 140 proposals:

• Blai Vidal Aïgo Project
• Gökhan Sürer Quintet
• Greg Hollis Group
• Lucia Fumero
• Magalí Sare & Manel Fortià
• Sergio de Lope

The 12 showcases will include six groups who should have performed at JAZZ I AM 2020 but, due to the health emergency that forced the meeting to be postponed from March to December, they were not able to do so. Now, they will have a second opportunity so that no one misses out on their performances. They are the following:

• Curos
• Gabriela Suarez Jazz Singer
• Quartiana
• Rita Payés
• Tomàs Fosch Quartet
• Jose Carra Trio

The 12 proposals will be a sample of the originality, quality and versatility of the country’s jazz music. They will perform as part of JAZZ I AM 2021, which will be held during the month of March, in front of the national and international programmers attending the meeting.
