Smack Dab is a quintet born in 2015 in Barcelona, with a single premise: to play their own music, with great arrangements but favouring free and daring improvisation. They have performed in the biggest festivals and concert venues in Catalunya, such as the Festival MasiMas, Jamboree Jazz Club, Nova Jazz Cava, Festival JazzTerrassa, La Pedrera, Museu d’Història de Catalunya, Festival d’Emergències Musicals de Banyoles, Estival de Jazz and Música als Parcs, among others. They have also played twice in New York with the collaboration of the master saxophonist Vincent Herring.

In 2020, the quintet will celebrate 5 years together with their tour 555, and with the launch of a new work which will encapsulate the eclectic careers of the band\’s members since formation.
