Until November 15th you can submit your musical proposals to participate in the second edition of JAZZ I AM. The meeting accepts National jazz groups and soloists. The selected ones will perform during its celebration in front of all the participants.
In total, there will be 12 showcases and the jury will assess its originality, quality and viability when commercialising it internationally. The selected ones will be announced on December 16th 2019.

CALL FOR ARTISTS
JAZZ I AM 2020
The following terms and conditions apply to participants in showcases that will take place in the second edition of JAZZ I AM, Barcelona International Jazz Meeting. This meeting will be held in Barcelona on March 25th, 26th and 27th in Fabra i Coats – Fàbrica de Creació de Barcelona.
The call for artists will be open from October 15th to November 15th, 2019, both included.
This call is addressed exclusively to Spanish jazz music artists and groups residents in Spain. All participants must be 18 years old, or older.
Each application must present, at least, the artist/group name, the name of the show, a brief description, complete artistic line-up, artist / group trajectory, link to social network profiles and audio-visual material through the registration form: three photographs (300ppp), three themes songs and three videos.
The applicant accepts that JAZZ I AM freely distributes, for promotional use only, all the material sent in this call for its dissemination campaign, either directly or through the media that cover the event.

The application form must be provided through the online application system on www.jazziam.barcelona. Incomplete applications or out of deadline will not be taken into consideration.

The selected artists will be chosen by a jury of six members:

• A representative of Associació de Músics de Jazz i Música Moderna de Catalunya.
• A representative of Mercat de Música Viva de Vic
• An international promoter
• A specialized critic
• Music programmer for different Spanish festivals
• A promoter for a Barcelona Club
For each proposal, the jury will assess its originality, quality and viability when commercialising it internationally. Likewise, the jury will ensure that the final selection represents the greatest and possible stylistic diversity.
The jury will not select more than one proposal led by the same artist.
The 12 selected proposals will be announced publicly on Monday, December 16th 2019.
All the musicians selected to perform at the showcases will receive a fee. For soloists it will be € 100 + VAT, duos € 200 + VAT, trios € 300 + VAT and groups of 4 or more members, € 400 + VAT. All the musicians should provide the documentation that proves the registration in the Social Security, as well as the corresponding invoice. Applicants undertake to assume the costs of travel, expenses, accommodation and any additional expenses that may be incurred.
By registering for this call, artists are confirming their availability to act on March 26th and 27th, 2020, and commit to reserving these dates until they are notified if they have been selected.
All selected participating musicians will receive an accreditation that will allow them to access to the full official program of JAZZ I AM for free.
Each showcase will last 30 minutes. There will also be a minimum of 30 minutes for the sound check. The artists commit to follow the schedule.
All participating musicians commit to us the backline and sound equipment that will provide JAZZ I AM organisation, taking into account the technical riders of the selected proposals.
The selected artists authorize the video recording and taking pictures of their show at JAZZ I AM, both for the use of the organisation and the media working at the event. This material may be used to promote JAZZ I AM in different formats (web, advertising, flyers…) for this edition and the following ones.
Registration to this call implies the acceptance of its bases.
The organization reserves the right to modify the bases without prior notice for reasons of major cause and/or unforeseen needs.
