Cris Lópezz Quartet takes flamenco as a living root and brings it into dialogue with other musical languages such as electronic music, jazz, and Mediterranean sounds. The project builds an intimate and evocative sonic universe, where traditional forms open up to new electronic textures and spaces for experimentation.
On stage, the quartet offers an immersive and deeply sensorial experience: a scenic ritual where delicacy and power, tradition and avant-garde coexist. A music that invites both attentive listening and emotional journeying, always from an honest and contemporary place.
Cris Lópezz is a singer, composer, and producer with a solid background in flamenco singing and a career shaped by sound research and openness to new artistic languages. A graduate in Flamenco Singing from ESMUC, with technical training in sound, music production, and new technologies, her work moves naturally between flamenco tradition and contemporary creation.
She has collaborated with renowned artists such as Silvia Pérez Cruz, Albert Pla, Las Migas, El Niño de Elche, and Chano Domínguez, and is co-director of projects like LaboratoriA and La Prenda Roja, where she explores flamenco from an experimental and electronic perspective. In recent years, she has developed an intense activity in the scenic and interdisciplinary fields, composing and directing music for theatre, dance, and visual arts.
She is currently a professor in the Bachelor’s Degree in Flamenco at Taller de Músics ESEM, where she combines teaching with her creative work, vocal research, and the development of new artistic projects. Based in Barcelona, Cris Lópezz continues to expand the boundaries of flamenco, connecting it with the present and with new ways of listening.
