Christoph Huber
Christoph Huber is the artistic director of Porgy & Bess (Vienna) since 2000. Porgy & Bess is one of the most prestigious jazz clubs in Europe. The program attracts a very large audience. About 70,000 people spend the Porgy & Bess every year. This club has jazz, but also electronic music, contemporary music and world music, and there are both Austrian and international musicians.
Previously, Christoph Huber was the director and organizer of various events with Austrian companies. Co-organisator (together with Gerhard Eder) of the International Jazzfestival Saalfelden, artistic and organizational director (together with Mathias Rüegg, Renald Deppe and Gabriele Mazic) of Jazz & Musicclub Porgy & Bess, artistic director of the Short Cuts de Saalfelden series and the Good News from Russia festival in Vienna. He was also the creator of the artistic concept of Grabenfesttage with Christoph Cech, programmer of the The Great American Songbook series at the Unteres Belverde in Vienna and the series Invoice for the Summerstage in Vienna. He has also been involved in the conception of the jazz club linked to the Kunsthalle Wien in Vienna.
