Daniel García Trio

Spanish pianist Daniel García brings his trio to the stage with Wonderland (ACT Music, 2024), an album that takes listeners on an intimate journey through dreams, emotions, and self-discovery. Known as a leading figure of the new wave of Spanish jazz, García has performed over 300 concerts across Europe and Japan with his long-standing trio, featuring bassist Reinier «El Negrón» and drummer Michael Olivera.

Wonderland blends modern jazz, subtle flamenco influences, classical tones, and global sounds, creating a rich and emotive musical landscape. Inspired by the words of psychologist Carl Jung —«Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes»— the album invites the audience to explore their own inner world, confronting illusions, hopes, and feelings that guide us through life.

Each piece is a reflection of emotional landscapes, from playful and joyful moments to introspective and tender passages. García’s music is full of lyricism, rhythmic vitality, and improvisational freedom, offering a live experience that is both personal and universal.

Daniel García Trio has been awarded one of the 2026–2027 Awards granted by Plataforma Jazz España to two emerging Spanish jazz projects, selected by festivals associated with PJE from the Jazz Spain Catalogue, a curated selection of the country’s finest musical projects.
