Throughout these ten years of operation, the activity in Fabra i Coats has been constant with many interesting projects. A scenario with history
Fabra i Coats is an icon of Barcelona’s industrial heritage. It is part of a larger complex, consisting of several industrial units built in different times, the oldest of which is 1890. All this set of units was formerly known as Coats Fabra S.A., and during the nineteenth century was a spinning industry. This complex occupied two blocks of houses separated by Sant Adrià Street. The first one was the Factory of Sant Andreu, and the second one was the Fábrica de la Reguera. This whole complex is a testimony of the history of Sant Andreu del Palomar before its annexation to Barcelona, a moment of development in the city and the process of industrialization that Catalonia experienced in the 19th century.
